SHANNON DILL

Shannon Dill, a Southern California native, was born and raised in Orange County.  After earning a degree in Fine Arts from UCLA’s School of the Arts and Architecture, she began developing her art practice.  Primarily a painter, she has also been concentrating on works within the field of video art making.  Dill has generated a continuing collaborative relationship with other Los Angeles-based artists, creating conceptually based pieces on video, most recently shown at Ven gallery in Silverlake, CA in 2005.

In the spring of 2001, Shannon joined Allentown Productions during production on the NBC feature documentary, Price for Peace.  Since this time, her work over the past six years with Allentown has expanded to include all aspects of production: from development to field producing through post-production.  Her work includes documentaries for NBC, Hallmark Channel, the History Channel and HBO.

In 2006, Dill was proud to offer her support to filmmakers Dena DeCola and Karin Wandner during the filming of their narrative short film, “Five More Minutes.”  The short film has since screened at several film festivals, most notably at Slamdance and Edinburgh International Film Festival.

Currently, Dill is serving as associate producer on the feature-length documentary, Running the Sahara, a co-production of Allentown and LivePlanet.  Filming wrapped in February of 2007, and the project is now in post-production.

Dill is co-producer of the yet untitled feature-length documentary based upon the book, “Cradle to Cradle,” by architect William McDonough and chemist Michael Braungart, which is currently in production in both the U.S. and Germany.
