Andrés Goldstein: Composer

Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina in 1954, Andres Goldstein obtained a degree in Composition at the Universidad Católica Argentina in 1986.  His last works include composing and producing the soundtrack for Lucho Bender´s film Felicidades.

This soundtrack was nominated for Best Original Song from the World Soundtrack Awards, at Flanders International Film Festival, Belgium.  In 2002 he composed, together with Daniel Tarrab, the original music for Some who Lived, directed by Luis Puenzo and executive produced by Steven Spielberg.  The Some who Lived original soundtrack was released in Argentina by Aqua Records, and in the rest of the world by Chandos Records (UK).  It was nominated as Best Classical Music Album for the Gardel Awards in Argentina.

Andrés Goldstein was nominated as Best Composer of the Year and Discovery of the Year at the 2004 World Soundtrack Awards in Belgium.

In 2005 he composed, again with Daniel Tarrab, the soundtrack for Jorge Lanata and Andrés Schaer´s film Deuda, produced by Patagonik Film Group.  With this work, he was nominated once more as Discovery of the Year at the 2005 World Soundtrack Awards.

Based in Buenos Aires, Goldstein and Tarrab’s Swing Musica produces music for advertising, film, and television worldwide.  Swing Musica has received most major international advertising awards: Emmy Award, Cannes Film Festival, London Film Festival, NY Film Festival, Addy Awards, Fiap Awards.
