GEORGE TILLMAN, JR.
is an accomplished film writer, producer, and director. He wrote and directed his first film, Soul Food, which is loosely based on his own life. Tillman also served as Executive Producer of the subsequent Soul Food: The Series for Showtime Networks. Tillman’s next directorial effort was the critically acclaimed Men of Honor, an epic story starring Oscar winning actors Cuba Gooding, Jr. and Robert De Niro. Tillman then co-produced the MGM film Barbershop followed by its sequel Barbershop 2: Back In Business and Beauty Shop. Tillman recently completed producing the film Roll-Bounce!.

ROBERT TEITEL produced the feature film Soul Food, and the critically acclaimed drama, Men of Honor, which grossed over $100 million worldwide. Teitel followed the success of that film with the ever popular comedies, Barbershop, Barbershop 2: Back in Business and Beauty Shop. Teitel most recently produced Roll-Bounce!, a comedy that follows a crew of roller skaters in the late 1970s. 

Soul Food: The Series became the longest running African-American one-hour television series in American history. While Barbershop, Barbershop 2: Back in Business, and Beauty Shop havecomprised the largest grossing urban franchise in history.

State Street Pictures, Tillman and Teitel’s joint production company, has several feature film and television projects in development. They have a producing deal at Fox Studios.
