Based at Universal Studios in Los Angeles, California since 1993, Allentown Productions is a film and video production company that specializes in non-fiction. The company's principal, James Moll, was born in Allentown, Pennsylvania hence, the name of the company. His work as a documentary director/producer has earned numerous awards including the Academy Award®, two Emmy Awards®, the Peabody Award, Edward R. Murrow Award, Cable Ace, and the Christopher, among others. In addition, James Moll is one of the Founding Directors of Steven Spielberg's Shoah Foundation. Recently acquired by the University of Southern California, The USC Shoah Foundation Institute for Visual History and Education began as a nonprofit organization that was established in 1994 to collect and preserve more than 50,000 testimonies of Holocaust survivors and other witnesses.
